What I'm watching, listening to, & Cat of the Week!
Watching:
Like the rest of the world, my family and I honored Val Kilmer by watching Tombstone this week. Despite it being my husband’s favorite movie of all time, this was my first time watching it all the way through. Now I understand why he says “I will not be pawed at” on a regular basis. I should have given in and watched it one of the million times with him because Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer are at the peak of their handsomeness, even with tuberculosis! R.I.P. Val, you will be missed.
Listening:
Ya’ll, holy shit - I could not be more excited to be typing this right now. My favorite podcast hotties, Dayna and Katie from Disrespectfully, shouted me out on their pod today! I sent them silly little cigarette earrings that I found on Etsy, along with a little note about how they inspire and entertain me every week. Dayna reads my note at the top of the pod (starting at the 2:00 mark) and it made my whole damn day. Dayna and Katie are two of the most badass women and I consider them my parasocial friends. Listen!
Cat of the Week:
Now for the most important part of Office Hours, Cat of the Week! This little beast is Orc, and he’s the oldest of the OG shop cats. He’s a sweet, tough dude who doesn’t start fights, but he definitely finishes them. He’s been around a long, long time - in fact, we have looked back on old photos and he’s lurking in the background like the Grudge. He’s the caretaker of the shop yard - here’s to hoping he lives forever.
